“We believe that the gemstone industry – sustaining millions of people in predominantly artisanal and small-scale mining and manufacturing – can only survive if it can provide verifiable transparency into its complex value chains from the mine to the consumer. The ASM Grand Challenge funding allows us to further develop our tracking and tracing technologies, and make them affordable and accessible to the entire industry, in line with the mission statement of Provenance Proof.”
