“We took on this challenge because we are convinced that by using low-cost sensors, long-range technology (LoRa) and free software, we have a great solution to the problems faced by artisanal and small-scale mining, not only in Colombia but in many other countries, where small-scale miners do not have the economic capacity to make large investments but intend to carry out mining with the least possible impact on the environment.”
