Reason for Applying
The ASM Progress APP, developed by the Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM) with the support of BetterChain, is inspired by the need to find solutions to the problems identified in the artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) sector in the field of the miners and miners for access to formal markets, the lack of transparency and coherence of the information between the actors, among others. The formalization of ASM must be accompanied by an improvement in the veracity and circulation of information between the different actors so that each one can contribute at their own level, promoting mineral traceability throughout the value chain.
